Aloha!
Well this week has been an absolute disaster. No I´m kidding it´s been great as always. I´ve still Reeve just with a different name and I don´t know how not to have fun, sabe? So anyways this week we found some awesome investigators namely *******, *******, ********, teachers, evagelists and so forth. But we have been teaching some really good lessons. The work goes forth. We have set a few more baptisms. I´m getting really good at that part it´s the just the actually getting there that seems to be the set back at the moment. We have a problem with everyone´s religious leaders talking them out of talking to us. It´s a dilemna you see because them other people don´t seem to like us much it seems. Or so I´ve heard. Word on the street these days. We had a run in with a baptist minister with some interresting views on our religion. He told us that Joseph Smith went back to his original denomination before he died. Interresting. Im sure you all know why. But the majority of the people we run into are great.
We were walking just yesterday in fact when we saw one of the people we´d taught previously and had never found again. But we were already running to an appointment so we let it slide. It fell. So we went back and talked to him. Someone in his family had just died that day and he was in need of comfort. We taught the plan of salvation. It is funny how God works. Strange and mysterious. For more information view Jacob 4:8. I think..... Não me lembro agora.
Today we played some basketball. This week we also got to sing at a stake primary meeitning. It was a blast and a blast to the past. It seems just yesterday that I was there myself. Then I remembered that i don´t know any primary songs in portuguese and that I went to primary in the U.S.
I really miss you all and love you. Especially during this Christmas season. My first one away from home. Sad really. It´s alright Elder Karren and I will have fun out here. We always do.
Oh other fun fact. We had to run to catch so many buses this week. We would be walking and it would go past. On Sunday was the big rivalry game between Coritiba Football and Paraná. Yes Coritiba is spelled right. and these fans are the craziest in Brazil. People get killed over these games. So we couldn´t wear red or green ties. Nothing really exciting happened actually.
Another awesome/spectacular experience. We were walking through the streets at night and thought^´´let´s go visit these less active members´´ so we did. We got there and their family was just getting there. Their extended family we´d never met. And they asked us to teach them the plan of salvation. It was spectacular. Everyone was crying. They were in desperate need of it. They asked for us to send missionaries to their houses. So we don´t get to see the end, but the beginning was worth it. I love and miss you all. Thank you for all the support. I got 7 more letters this week. My zone is jealous. What can I say. Highland, Utah is the place to be from. Eu te amo e a igreja é verdadeira
Love you too,
Elder Sudweeks
Our Christmas tree brought to us entirely by you
